Furloughs for 200 Blue Cross, Blue Shield SC Employees

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– 200 employees of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of South Carolina are off of the job beginning Monday.
ABC Columbia News received an anonymous call Friday from an employee who said they were notified of a mandatory furlough.
A spokesperson for the company says they received a stop-work order from the government on the project for which these employees were specifically hired.
The company says it hopes the measure is short-lived.
