RCSD: Elderly man spit on, suspect in custody

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A 22-year-old man accused of spitting on a elderly man is in custody.
Daniel Harris turned himself into investigators with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department Wednesday and is charged with assault.
On April 14, deputies say Harris spit on the back of the victim’s neck in the parking lot the BP gas station located in the 8700 block of Farrow Road after the victim attempted to avoid an altercation with Harris.
Harris accused the victim of blocking his vehicle, deputies say.
Investigators were able to identify Harris by vehicle description.
