SC Mom Charged with Murder, Arson of 2 Children And Husband

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) -The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a woman in connection to a fatal house fire that killed her two children and husband.

Fairfield County Sheriff Will Montgomery said that Sharon Coleman, 34, was arrested for Arson 1st Degree and 3 counts of Murder on Monday.

This arrest is the result of an investigation into a house fire that occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday in which Coleman’s husband, Justin Omar Wilson 29, and two children, Kemya Coleman 8 and Deshawn Wilson 6, perished.

Coleman was transported to the Fairfield County Detention Center where she is awaiting bond. This is still an active investigation and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is assisting.

“Based on this investigation, Ms. Coleman has been arrested,” Sheriff Montgomery said. “This is still an active, on-going investigation and we are limited on what information we can release at this time. We want to continue to remember those affected by this tragic event and to keep them in our thoughts and prayers.”
