COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Good news for graduates entering the job market.

New national unemployment numbers show the jobless rate is the lowest in a decade.

The labor department says unemployment in April was at 4.4% and the U.S. economy added more than 211 thousand jobs in April.

In South Carolina, employment officials say the jobless rate remains steady at 4.4% as well.
