Back-to-Back! Chapin Boys Take State Again

Chapin’s boys had to wait over an hour after their scheduled start time just to take the field Friday night. Add a half-hour lightning delay and a pair of torrential downpours, and it was nearly Saturday morning by the time they were hoisting their newest hardware.

The Eagles won their second-straight Class 4A State title, beating Eastside 2-0. Cooper Woodham put Chapin up in the 9th minute before they forced the opposing Eagles to an own goal in the second half.

Head coach Ben Bosco is set to leave the program after this season, but walks away having won two consecutive SCHSL crowns. Hear from Chapin’s manager and see the Eagles trophy celebration by clicking the video above.
