SCHP: Driver in fatal accident overcorrected, struck tree

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – One person has died following an accident overnight.

Officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say the driver of a 2006 Nissan was killed when the vehicle left the road and struck a tree.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said Vaughan Moore was wearing a seatbelt and died as a result of traumatic injuries sustained in the crash.

The accident occurred in the 200 block of Berryhill Road in Lexington County.
