Victim in fatal I-20 accident identified
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The man killed in an early morning accident on I-20 was traveling in the wrong direction, officials say.
The Lexington County Coroner said Jamie Elliott Watson, 38, was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 near mile marker 63 when he collided head-on with a tractor trailer.
Watson, was not wearing a seatbelt and died on the scene after being ejected from his car, Coroner Margaret Fisher said.
He died as a result of head trauma.
