Love Beyond Bars Expo

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — If you have a loved one behind bars or have been incarcerated before there is an expo happening this weekend that you may want to check out.

The Love Beyond Bars Family Expo will give former inmates, and the families of those impacted by having to deal with an incarcerated loved one the tools they need to get back on their feet.

The organizer of the event, Janice Green says she got the idea for the event after her husband landed behind bars, leaving her and her daughter homeless and searching for a way to cope with his absence.

The event will be held at the Columbia Convention Center Saturday July 29th from 9 in the morning to 5pm in the evening and it’s absolutely free.
