Will Muschamp doesn’t need your solar eclipse

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The solar eclipse is a pretty big deal.

Approximated by scientists to happen once every 18 months, this year’s eclipse will happen on August 21st and be visible from Columbia.

What else is happening on August 21st? The Gamecocks open practice to the public for the only time this preseason, but Will Muschamp says he didn’t even think about it being the same day as the eclipse.

“We’re practicing. Are you kidding?” he said. “I didn’t even know about it (the eclipse).”

USC opens the season on September 2 against NC State in Charlotte.
