COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The Gamecocks held their third preseason practice Wednesday morning at Gamecock Park, just 31 days until the start of the 2017 season.

Will Muschamp and the Gamecocks began the day with an indoor stretching session, then took practice outside.

Jake Bentley took most snaps under center, working out with the rest of the quarterbacks in shoulder pads. The team will transition to full pads next week.

Linebacker Skai Moore was back on the field, after missing all of the 2016 season with a herniated disc in his neck, but the starting linebacker looked very comfortable, going through conditioning drills.

“I’m feeling great, I’m feeling 100 percent,” said Moore. “I’m ready to go full-go and just attack this camp and this season.”

Moore, who hasn’t played a down in more than a year has that ‘full-go’ approval from head coach Will Muschamp.

“I expect him to play extremely well,” said Muschamp, entering his second season at USC. “I think he will. He had a great spring. Feels like he’s in the best shape he’s ever been.”

Moore led the team in tackles and interceptions in 2015.
