Curbing Legal Immigration

Washington, DC (WOLO) —President Donald Trump rolls out a plan to curb legal immigration.

The bill, which proposes a skills-based immigration system, would dramatically rebuild the current system.
President Trump says the merit-based plan would protect American workers by cutting back on unskilled laborers coming to the U-S.

According to the office of Senator Tom Cotton, one of the lawmakers behind the proposal, the goal is to reduce legal immigration by 50 percent.
