City Announces Parking Options for Solar Eclipse Weekend

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – As the state prepares to welcome upwards of one million people come solar eclipse weekend, the City of Columbia has released its plan for parking downtown.

The parking services division says Saturday, August 19 through Monday, August 21, this is what you can expect:

• Parking decks: Washington Street Deck, Taylor Street Deck, Lady Street Deck, Park Street Deck, Lincoln Street Deck and PJ Cannon will all be open. Event parking rates may apply for City parking decks during the Total Solar Eclipse weekend, cash only.
• City surface lots: Sumter Street lot, Devine Street lot and Harden Street/Exxon lot will be open. The Convention Center lot will be available for parking only on Monday, August 21. All surface lots event parking rates may apply only on Monday, August 21, cash only.
• On-street parking will operate as normal.
