SCDP Calls on AG to Resign

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO, AP, Post and Courier)– The state Democratic party is calling on Attorney General Alan Wilson to resign.

In a statement issued Monday Vice Chairman Anthony Thompson cited a Post and Courier Report that Wilson tried to have Prosecutor David Pascoe removed from an investigation into state house corruption.
According to the report, Wilson e-mailed political consultant Richard Quinn.
Quinn’s son and several advisees are all under investigation in that probe.
Wilson told the Associated Press the e-mails, were quote, an innocent exchange with a trusted advisor.
