Possible Craigslist Sale Leads to Shooting

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that has left a man recovering from multiple gun shot wounds.

Authorities say the incident happened Monday night around 6pm in the 1 – hundred block of Elder’s Pond Circle. Deputies believe the victim was meeting someone for the sale of an I-Phone listed on Craigslist, when witnesses say they heard several shots fired.

Deputies say the victim was transported to an area hospital to be treated for multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and is said to be suffering non life threatening injuries.

Authorities say the victim has not been completely cooperative with deputies as they try to determine more information about the incident and identify a possible suspect.
