NASHVILLE, TN (WOLO) – Country music artist Glen Campbell died Tuesday (8/9) after a long fight with Alzheimer’s Disease.
The 81-year-old singer and guitarist is best known for his 21 Top-40 hits, including 1975’s “Rhinestone Cowboy.”
Before embarking on a solo career, the Arkansas-born Campbell was a session guitarist.
He sold more than 45 million records in a career that spanned six decades.
He left behind his wife of 35-years and eight children.
