COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – People are gearing up for the total solar eclipse, which as of Wednesday (8/9) is just 12 days away.

Around 12 million Americans are in it’s path stretching from Oregon to right here in the Midlands.

The temporary blackout though has solar energy companies scrambling.
