Dustin Johnson looks average in opening round of PGA Championship

CHARLOTTE, NC (WOLO) — Columbia native and Dutch Fork High School graduate Dustin Johnson played mediocre golf in Thursday’s round one of the PGA Championship.

Well, mediocre for the number one ranked player in the world.

DJ shot a -1 (70) Thursday at Quail Hollow, which is much better than his previous major starts. Johnson is still looking for a top 50 finish at a major this year.

He’ll tee off at 1:45 p.m. Friday.

Aiken’s Kevin Kisner currently leads at -4.
