Santee Cooper Cancels Rate Increases

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– Santee Cooper customers will not see any rate increases any time soon.
Friday morning the state-owned utility company announced it is canceling the increases that where scheduled to take effect in 2018 and 2019.
The cancellation follows the company’s decision to back out of construction on two reactors at the VC Summer nuclear facility.
