According to reports, the former Gamecock was seen holding a towel on his head on the Yankees bench. He then proceeded to go into the clubhouse. MLB.com reports Montgomery felt “woozy” after being hit by the fly ball.
The Yankees expect him to be okay to start Sunday against the Red Sox.
Montgomery was recalled on Friday by the Bronx Bombers after CC Sabathia went on the disabled list. He has a 4.05 ERA in 21 starts with the Yanks.
