Clemson Releases Statement on 2014 Student Death

Clemson, S.C. (WOLO)–Earlier this month Clemson University reached a settlement with the family a student who fell to his death during a fraternity pledge run in 2014.
Thursday morning the university released a statement on Hipps death saying “Cindy and Gary Hipps, and the Clemson University community, tragically lost a son, a friend, and a lifelong tiger, Tucker Hipps.
Tucker was a talented and much loved young man known for his leadership skills and his warm and friendly nature, which allowed him to easily make friends wherever he went.
