COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) –

Help clear the shelters and add a new furry friend to the family.

Columbia Animal Services is hosting a Clear the Shelter adoption special all day Saturday, August 19.

All cats and dogs will be given away for free. Adoptions include spay, neuter, micro-chip, leukemia and heart worm testing, vaccines, and de-worming.

This free adoption special takes place at Columbia’s Animals Services’ located on 127 Humane Lane in Columbia and 321 Ballpark Road in Lexington county.

Clear the Shelter is part of a nationwide effort to send shelter animals to good homes.
