Ben Lippen drops 2017 opener to Florida power program

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Defending SCISA 3A state champion Ben Lippen wasn’t able to hold off their long-distance visitor Friday night, two-time defending 2A Florida state champ University Christian.
The Christians topped the Falcons 44-14. It was Ben Lippen’s first loss since September 23, 2016, dropping to Pinewood Prep 34-25.
The Falcons are back home next week hosting their first in-state rival, Marcus Lattimore’s Heathwood Hall Highlanders.
