COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Sindarius Thornwell grew up in Lancaster wearing the jerseys of his favorite athletes, hoping one day that he’d be able to see his own name on an NBA uniform.
After starting his assent to the Association this summer, the Clippers rookie is beginning to see the impact he has on the next generation of South Carolina hoop dreamers.
While hosting his first annual youth camp at Cardinal Newman School Saturday, the former Gamecock star and Los Angeles Clippers rookie worked with his team of coaches and counselors to grow and build close to 90 kids’ games. Yet Thornwell has already built a bridge to the youth in our area as the first Carolina alum drafted in 11 years to the NBA, serving as their inspiration to dream big.
