CLEMSON, S.C. (WOLO) — Dabo Swinney named junior Kelly Bryant the starting quarterback against Kent State on Sept. 2, but that doesn’t mean Swinney is entirely comfortable with Bryant running the offense.

Bryant played in only four games last season, rushing and passing for one touchdown each. The junior watched Deshaun Watson run the Tigers offense for two seasons, but that might not be enough.

“We just don’t have any experience at quarterback,” said Dabo. “Kelly has just a little, so right now it’s easy to say our weakness is at quarterback.”

Bryant beat out Zerrick Cooper and Hunter Johnson.
