COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — With 10 returnees on offense, the Gamecocks are loaded with talent from offensive line to wide receiver to quarterback.

Jake Bentley has spent most of the offseason hanging out with each unit and now feels more comfortable with his receivers and running backs.

He says so, and so does Will Muschamp, who sees a transformation from Bentley’s true freshman season to sophomore, especially with his wide receivers.

Wideout could be USC’s deepest position, especially with Deebo Samuel leading the corps.

“I think our guys did a really good job during the summer gelling,” said Muschamp. “I’m excited about the prospects of those guys. We have a lot of competition (at wide receiver) and those guys know they have to come out every single day and compete.”

The Gamecocks face NC State on Sept. 2.
