Zoo Animals React After Solar Eclipse

The total solar eclipse wasn’t just an extraordinary experience for the millions of people watching Monday, but for the animals too.

Some viewers at the Nashville Zoo got an extra treat as they witnessed giraffes running wildly around their enclosure once the eclipse reached totality.

One worker at the zoo said he expected the giraffes to go back to their gate when the sky went dark but that wasn’t the case.

As the progressing eclipse began to mimic twilight, the giraffes began engaging in their evening ritual of play.
