Harvey Pets Being Rescued

Houston, TX (WOLO) — While there are thousands of people that are stranded in rising waters in Texas, many of them are also the parents to four legged friends. Some that had to be left behind and later rescued by emergency officials.

The Texas Governor says six-hundred boats are being used for rescue efforts.
the Operations Director for the animal defense league of Texas shelter says they will see if there is a need to help transport displaced animals from hurricane-ravaged areas, today.

It can deploy a convoy of temperature-controlled vehicles and trailers that can carry more than 40 animals.
