Kent State to be without head coach for opener at Clemson
KENT, Ohio (WOLO) – Kent State head football coach Paul Haynes will not be on the sidelines at Memorial Stadium Saturday when the Golden Flashes face defending national champion Clemson.
The fifth year head coach will be away as the university released word Sunday that Haynes is on a medical leave of absence and will return in two-three weeks.
He is 12-35 in five seasons with KSU, his alma mater.
Clemson enters their 2017 opener ranked fifth in the nation in both the AP and coaches poll.
