HOUSTON, TX (WOLO) — With more than 25 inches of rain dropped on Houston from Hurricane Harvery, and 25 inches more to come by Saturday, an estimated 8,000 people were in Houston shelters Monday night.
For the Houston Texans, life has changed dramatically in the past 48 hours.
After losing to New Orleans Saturday night, the team couldn’t fly back into the Houston area and were forced to land in Dallas, where they’ll be practicing for an undetermined amount of time.
Former Gamecock and current Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph described being away from his family, who lives in Houston, as a “punch in the gut.”
Joseph acknowledged though his family though did make it through the storm with help from neighbors.
