RCSD to Host Gift Card Fundraiser For Houston Area Deputies
RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WOLO)- The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is asking Midlands residents to lend a hand to Houston area law enforcement through a unique, one-of-a kind fundraiser.
The Sheriff and the deputies of Live PD will be collecting store gift-cards on Thursday, August 31st from 6:00am to 6:00pm at Decker Center, located on 2500 Decker Boulevard.
The donated gift cards are tax deductible and will be collected and sent to the Harris County Texas Sheriff’s Department and distributed to deputies in need.
“So often during times of devastation, our first responders have to place their and their family’s needs on the backburner,” Lott said. “This is a small gesture will go a long way toward recognizing their sacrifice as well.”
Signed Live PD Posters will be given out for the first 100 gift card Donations.
Deputies will be accepting VISA, Master Card, American Express, Walmart, Target, Food Lion, and gift cards from Trader Joe’s (Cards Accepted in the Houston Area).
