Moorer Convicted of Obstruction

Conway, S.C. (WOLO, AP)– A man accused in the disappearance of a 20 year old woman has been found guilty of obstruction of justice.
Sidney Moorer was sentenced to ten years in prison Wednesday in Conway.
Prosecutors say he intentionally stalled the investigation into the disappearance of Heather Elvis.
She was last seen in December of 2013.
In a separate trial last summer a jury deadlocked in deciding if Moorer was responsible for Elvis’s disappearance.
A new trial date has not yet been set.
