Muschamp, Gamecocks need another Deebo-like performance Saturday

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Will Muschamp was pretty honest last week about his junior wide receiver Deebo Samuel.

“He needs to be involved. Early or late, we need him to be productive,” said Coach Boom.

It worked. Samuel had 185 all-purpose yards and 3 touchdowns in USC’s 35-28 win over NC State on Saturday.

This week, Muschamp is saying the same, just days before Carolina’s first true road game and SEC East matchup with the Missouri Tigers.

“Let’s get him the ball in multiple ways,” Muschamp said Tuesday. “He needs to come out of the game touching the ball. He ought to be tired when the game is over.”
