COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — On Saturday night at Missouri, the Gamecocks will try to reverse a negative trend.

USC has really struggled in true road games the last two seasons, winning just 2 of its last 14 road contests. In that time, Carolina has only averaged 19.3 points per game with most of those losses by double digits.

But now with quarterback Jake Bentley in charge of a Gamecock offense that scored 28 points on one of the best defenses in the ACC, Will Muschamp has a different feeling heading to Columbia, Missouri.

“I’ve always felt like that (having a go-to quarterback) was always an important factor in going on the road,” said Muschamp Tuesday. “That position can have a calming factor for your team.”

The Gamecocks are 2.5-point underdogs to the Tigers.
