RCSD Investigate Two Overnight Incidents

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is hoping you can help them catch suspects involved in two separate incidents that took place in the early hours of Friday Morning.

According to Deputies, the first incident took place around 2:15 in the morning. Authorities say they were called to the 5 thousand block of Barrington Drive for a shots fired call. Once they arrived officials say they found multiple cars that had been shot at, one of the rounds entering a nearby home. No Injuries have been reported.

The second incident took place at 2:20 am in the 7 hundred block of Zimmelcrest Drive. According to authorities the victim told Deputies as we was walking down the street a suspect approached him demanding money at gunpoint.

When the victim told him he did not have anything to give, authorities say the suspect struck the victim with the firearm and fled the area on foot.
