Walt Disney World Reopens after Irma

Orlando, FL (WOLO) — The happiest place on earth” will be up and running again today.
Walt Disney world was shut down Sunday as former Hurricane Irma was approaching the Orlando area.

Online videos and pictures showed some flooding in Disney’s Epcot Park and at the Grand Floridian Resort.
trees in the Animal Kingdom theme park were also knocked down.

A spokesman for Disney says the damage-assessment is still in the initial stages.

It was only the sixth time in the resort’s 45-year history that severe weather forced the theme park to close.
