CLEMSON, S.C. (WOLO) — In last year’s 42-36 win over Louisville, Clemson turned the ball over five times.

That’s enough to make any head coach’s head spin off a neck, but the turnovers look worse giving the ball back to the eventual Heisman-winner, Lamar Jackson.

“You keep giving the ball to that guy (Jackson), you’re in trouble,” said Dabo Swinney Tuesday.

When #3 Clemson faces off with #14 Louisville Saturday on ABC Columbia at 8 p.m., the Tigers will be riding a three-game win streak over the Cardinals.

In fact, since Louisville joined the ACC in 2014, Clemson is 3-0 against the Cardinals, but all three wins have come by a total of 15 points.

So limiting turnovers will be key.

“You want to minimize his (Jackson’s) opportunities, and we didn’t do a good job of that last year,” according to Swinney.

Clemson is currently a 3-point favorite to win.
