Sumter Deputies Concerns Grow Over Missing Man

Sumter County, SC (WOLO) — The Sumter County Sheriff’s office says they’re growing more concerned over the disappearance of a man they say has been missing since September 10th, 2017.

Authorities say the last time he was seen was at the Palmetto Tuomey Hospital the same day he was being treated there.

Officials say Michael J. Thomson suffers from mental issues, but do not believe he is a threat to the public. Deputies are however, interested in finding out where he might be and are asking the community to contact them if they know where he might be.

If you have seen him you’re asked to call the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office at (803)436-2000 or 9-1-1.
