Deputy Busts Suspects with Marijuana, Cash at Shopping Center

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Two men walking around the Village of Sandhills were arrested with three pounds of marijuana and $3,000 in cash, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities said Dillon Parker-Patterson, 24, and Jeremy McLeod, 26, were arrested Monday along Town Center Place, after a member of the Community Action Team, checking property on foot patrol, spotted the two men walking with shopping bags containing marijuana in plain view. The deputy said he was getting off an elevator as the two were waiting to get on it.

RCSD said deputies were able to obtain a search warrant for an apartment related to Parker-Patterson and McLeod in the Village of Sandhills, where an additional seven pounds of marijuana, a stolen rifle and handgun were located. Drug paraphernalia was also found throughout the apartment.

Parker-Patterson and McLeod have been transported to the Alvin S Glenn Detention Center. Additional charges are forthcoming.
