Clemson cruises late, finishes Boston College

CLEMSON, S.C. (WOLO) – Dabo Swinney saw his Tigers come together in all three phases of the game in the fourth quarter, working past a worn down Boston College team, and using a 27-0 run in the final 12 minutes to power their 34-7 win over the Eagles.

True freshman running back Travis Etienne broke out late in front of Clemson’s home fans, taking nine carries for 113 yards and two scores. QB Kelly Bryant also rushed for triple digits, racking up 106 yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns himself. He completed 17 of 26 passes for 140 yards, but threw two interceptions.

The Tigers’ defense only registered one sack, but did have six tackles for a loss and two interceptions by Trayvon Mullen, who left early with a concussion, and A.J. Terrell.

Boston College falls to 1-3 (0-2 ACC) and hosts Central Michigan next week.

Clemson stays undefeated at 4-0 (2-0) and gets ready for a rematch of the 2016 ACC Championship, as well as their third Top 15 matchup in a four week span, The Tigers head to Blacksburg next week to face 4-0 (0-0) Virginia Tech.
