Richland One Given $15 Million Grant

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)— Magnet programs in Richland School District 1 are getting a boost from the federal government.
Wednesday the US Department of Education announced the district as the recipient of a $15 million grant for magnet programs.
A spokesperson for the district says the grant money has been earmarked for the language immersion program at Carver-Lyon Elementary School, as well as career readiness programs at Bradley Elementary School, W.G. Sanders Middle School, and Keenan High School.
