State Reports Low Shrimp Harvest Numbers

(WOLO) – If you have shrimp on your holiday menu, they may be harder to come by.

The State Department of Natural Resources says the Fall White Shrimp harvest is hundreds of thousands of pounds below normal.

DNR however, says the Spring and Summer harvests were well above average.

Officials say warmer than usual water may be to blame for the drop.
