CHARLOTTE, NC (WOLO) — Panthers owner Jerry Richardson announced Monday afternoon that he’d step aside from day-to-day operations of his team during an ongoing investigation by the NFL into “workplace harassment” by the owner.

Richardson is currently being investigated for allegations ranging from sexual harassment to using a racial slur with a former employee.

It’s been a shocking transgression, especially for players like Cam Newton, who admits, he considered Richardson a “father figure”.
