Lee Co. Woman Dies in House Fire

Lynchburg, S.C. (WOLO)–Firefighters in Lee County say an early morning house fire claimed the life of an 84 year old woman.

A spokesperson for the Lee Co. Fire Dept. says Bertha Edwards, who was wheelchair bound, died in the fire at a home on Tolson Rd. in Lynchburg.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
