LIVE: RCSD Sheriff to give update on deadly shooting

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott and Coroner Gary Watts are giving an update of a death investigation.

The shooting occurred yesterday afternoon.

According to Sheriff Lott, Levi Brown was in his county issued vehicle when he shot an killed Bradley while at a residence visiting  a female acquaintance.

Leonard Bradley was a deputy coroner with Richland County since 2006.

Bradley took his life at the scene after shooting Brown in the yard of the residence.

In 2017, there were four domestic murder-suicides, Lott said.

Brown was wearing a bullet proof vest at the time of the shooting and Lott said that saved his life.
