No. 20 Clemson Tigers hosts No. 19 Carolina Tar Heels

Clemson, SC- The No. 20 Clemson Tigers take on No.19 North Carolina Tar Heels at home in Littlejohn Coliseum on Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. tip-off. Clemson is going into the game trailing 20-132 all-time series against the Tar Heels. Earlier this season, Clemson fell 87-79 at Chapel Hill and have not defeated the Tar Heels since a 83-64 victory in 2010.

The Tigers are moving into the week ranking for the fifth consecutive week in the AP Top 25 polls at No. 20. Junior guard Marcquise Reed will be a key player for the Tigers, as he is coming off of a career-high of 11 assists against Georgia Tech. Reed also posted the longest free throw streak of the season for the Tigers, connecting 14 in a row from Miami to Virginia, ending it at Georgia Tech. Gabe DeVoe will also be an asset for the Tigers, as he reached a career-high of 25 points in the two-point victory over Georgia Tech on Sunday.

The Tar Heels are on a two-game loss streak, coming into the Clemson game at 16-6 overall and 5-4 in the ACC. UNC has not lost three games in a row since opening ACC play in 2014.

UNC’s head coach, Roy Williams is 20-2 against Clemson and is looking to advance his record on the road this week.
