Bakari Sellers to serve as grand marshal of annual black history parade
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The 14th annual Karamu Statewide Black History Parade and Festival will take place Saturday in downtown Columbia.
This year’s parade grand marshal is former state Rep. Bakari Sellers. The festival will feature exhibitos, vendors and live music, like 69 Boyz, Marcus Hawkins and Salil Myers.
The parade starts at noon at the corner of Harden and Gervais Streets. It will travel south on Harden, ending at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park, located at 2300 Greene St. The festival starts in the par at 1:15 p.m.
