3 high school student killed in Laurens Co wreck

LAURENS COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – Three high school students were killed in a head on collision in the upstate Sunday (2/5).

The Highway Patrol says the accident happened around 11:30 a.m. on US 221 in Laurens County.

The Coroner says none of the teens were wearing a seatbelt in a pick-up truck that crossed the center line and hit a car.

Troopers say the driver of the car was also killed.

Students gathered at Union County High School Monday morning to honor the teens.
