Students, families invited to college fair at Camden High School

CAMDEN, S.C. (WOLO) – Camden High School is inviting interested students and their families to a college fair Saturday, February 17, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Representatives will be in attendance from Arclabs Welding School, Central Carolina Technical College, Charleston Southern University, Claflin University, Clemson University, Coastal Carolina University, Columbia International University, Francis Marion University, Morris College, Presbyterian College, SC State University, University of South Carolina, Universal Technical Institute, University of South Carolina Beaufort, University of South Carolina Upstate and Winthrop University.
The National Guard and professional development and training services will also be available.
“This is a chance for attendees to ask questions and get a ‘first impression’ of post-secondary options without traveling around the state,” said Pam Chickering, a CHS guidance counselor. “We are opening the college fair countywide to allow all Kershaw County high school students the opportunity to explore options for their future after high school.”
Organizers said the event is a great opportunity for students and parents to have personal conversations with a variety of potential secondary education options. Representatives will be providing information on an individual and group basis.
