Piecing together pirate history: scientists uncover femur bone

WEST YARMOUTH, MA (WOLO) – Scientists are working to determine whether a human femur bone, uncovered from the famed Whydah pirate shipwreck site, belongs to the infamous pirate, Sam Bellamy.

Researchers spent more than 250 hours extracting the bone, and will now conduct DNA testing to see who it belonged to.
