Dutch Fork star Stephen Davis Jr. rejoins Gamecock football team

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Former Dutch Fork star, Stephen Davis Jr is back on the Carolina football team.

The Gamecocks had Davis Jr. on the official spring roster, and Will Muschamp confirmed his return to the program Tuesday.

“Stephen came to me and felt like he wanted another opportunity to play football,” said Muschamp.

Davis abruptly left the program back in August. According to ABC Columbia sources, Davis Jr. was “burnt out” and “didn’t want to play football anymore”.

Davis is listed as a linebacker on the spring depth chart.
